Moving lines

Today we wrote about the icy day at school.
Today when we came to school there was a lot of ice. This is what we thought about it.
The ice feels like a smashed ice cube.
It looks like green glass covered with white frozen crumbly ice on top of
it. The ice sounds like shiny glass falling on concrete.
By Julia
Slippery slidy ice burnt my hands.
Transparent ice melting into dips of tears. SMASH! It sounds like a beer
bottle dropped on the ground. It tastes
like Antarctica. It smells like fresh
frozen water sliding through a puddle.
By Josh M
The ice feels cold and frigid.
It looks like hail. Veins creeping inside the ice. It sounds like it is
raining when it cracks. Wet, green grass
melting into ice. It felt like wet paper. Crash, clutter.
By Connor
Crack, crack on icy concrete.
It feels like little dots all connected. It smells like grass. It tastes
like drops on my tongue. It sounds like
water swishing round in a puddle.
By Myia
The ice was very cold and looked like a boat shape. It sounds like crash. It smells like nothing. It tastes like freezing cars but I still ate
it.
By Montana
The white frosty ice and snow creeping down below. Bang, crash bang.
Hail smashes the ground like rockets.
By Bailey
Transparance surrounds me. I am
holding a pirate ship. Smelling like grass. “Oh what luck!” Numbing hands shoot up arms like rockets
firing into space.
By Ryan
Frosty, frozen ice tightens my icy freezing hands. That ice is pretty. SMASH! Looks like broken glass. My hands feel like they are frozen. It smells like fresh broken water. It tastes like rippled frozen bits of fur on the
frozen rippled ground.
By Jack
Transparance surrounds me. White slides through the grass. It smells like rain moving. It tastes like
fried chicken.
By Deakon
Its magical ice. It feels like
snow and glass together. It looks like water.
It sounds like water. It smells
like water. It tastes like ice.
By Nikkita
Ice numbing my hands. Ice as
white as paper. As see through as
water. Humongous rippled ice. Freezes the school nearly in half.
By Josh W
Bang! Bang! Cold frigid. Ice everywhere. Smooth pirate ship, shaped bumpy, hail. Smells like fresh water. Water paper. Brittle, crash, crash.
By Lewis
Splash, splash, what’s that on my foot? Its ice!!!!
Frozen ice, numbing my hands and feet.
It smells like crunchy dog food.
Slippery ice slipped across the ground.
Slippery shoes skidded along the teeny ice. Muddy grass covering the shiny brittle
ice. Crash in my hands. It tastes like freezing cold water. It ripples through the icy wood. People throw clean ice on the bumpy
wall. Chilly wind across the land. The ice shivered and cracked amongst the
classrooms.
By Ollie
Bree! My hands are frozen numb. Wow, it’s crystal clear. Crash, clang.
“Oh no.” It’s broken. It feels like
glass. Phew. I don’t like the wet soaked
dog smell. It comes from hills of
mountainous snow.
By Jayme
The ice tasted like tartare sauce.
It felt rough and frigid. It
smelt like eggs. It sounds like a window
smashing. It looked like a volcano. It was melting like fire burning it after my
hand was numb.

We have been doing some string maths, we had to guess how long the string was, measure it in mm and cm and then make it into a picture.

Read our stories
Read our stories.
We have been
generating ideas, organising ideas, words and sentences. We have been writing short narratives and
have had lots of fun doing them. We are learning to hook you into our stories
with adjectives to describe what is
happening. These are the first stories we have written.
Once upon a time there lived a man bat. He lived in a dark abandoned tree. He can
speak to vampire bats. He cannot go into
the sun because he does not have his sun ring.
He felt very useless. Later he
went up to the beautiful sun because he got a sun ring from a witch on a
broomstick.
By Izak and Montana
Once upon a time there was Big Foot. He had red flaming eyes and feet as big as a
rugby field. Sad he was because everyone
scattered away and hid. He walked in the
forest. He found a cave. He walked
through it and found his family sleeping and sitting near the fire. By Bailey and Josh W
The Adventure of the Blue Dot.
Boung, boung, boung the blue dot was going to the middle of
the forest. His little shed was
colourful and full of dotty photos. This
brave dot always went on adventures!
When he went to the scary forest he found a viscous wolf. “AAAAh” he screamed and ran past the wolf and
got shot. Bang AAAAOOOO!!!!!
By Jayme and Ollie
Once upon a time there was a dot family. They lived in the old old house in the dessert.
The special thing about the dot family is there are other rainbow dots in different
colours. The problem was only a few dots
could fit in the house. They got
frustrated about it and found a huge house in the end.
By Nikkita and Myia and Julia
Once upon a time there was a super hero. He lived on a gigantic piece of cheese in
space. No one else can breathe oxygen
but he can breathe in outer space.
Powers sprayed out of him but he couldn’t get down to Earth to save
people. How could he get there? He felt
put down. Twinkle, twinkle headed
towards him. He grabbed it and his powers returned and he flew to Earth.
By Ryan and Lewis
Once upon a time there was a red dot. He lived in a colour dot house in the
forest. His house was called dot
house. The red dot was the only one in
the world. Dot had no friendly friends. Feeling lonely and with no delicious food he
ate his toe nails. Finally he found a
pink dot and got married.
By Nikkita and Julia
Once upon a time there was a skeleton zombie who was created
by a spectacular wizard. In his creepy
house filled with amazing spiders he ate rotten flesh. The wizard and the skeleton
zombie ruled the earth with the wizard’s magic wand. He could not create another skeleton zombie. They were the only ones. After they ruled the earth they ate the rotten
flesh. They went off to another place
and lived there.
Jack and Deakon
Once upon a time there was a moth man. Leaning trees and broken glass were
everywhere in the abandoned forest, covering his house. Smashing stuff, he was furry and had hard fiery
eyes. Cryptic hunters killed his
family. Turning evil and nasty and pesky
he smashed all the trees. He found his
family in a cave.
By Ollie and Jayme
Once upon a time there was a robot dragon. Dark clouds of doom surrounded his dark and
dull haunted cloud. A vortex of indestructible fire surrounded him when he saw
danger lurking up at him. WHOOSH everybody else flew away. Lonely hearted Robot
Dragon flew away with his vortex of indestructible fire surrounding him. Meanwhile another flying robot dragon surrounded them both. Robot
Dragon said “Thank you that is extraordinary.”
